Speaker Onsari Gharti has announced that the Parliament would elect the new Prime Minister on Wednesday, August 3.
She has assigned General Secretary at the Parliament Secretariat, Manohar Prasad Bhattarai, to publish detailed election schedule and carry out the process ahead.
Meanwhile, Bhattarai published the election schedule today itself, which requires the PM candidates to file nominations at his office from 11 am to 4 pm on Tuesday.
The final list of the candidates would be published at 4:30 pm tomorrow.
Likewise, the House meeting would begin at 11 am on Wednesday to elect the PM, according to the schedule.
All nominations would be put to vote together after the candidates presented their nominations and the lawmakers proposing and seconding them addressed the House.
Earlier, President Bidya Devi Bhandari had called parties in the House to elect the new Prime Minister through majority voting in accordance to Article 298(3) of the Constitution.
